One of those annoying blog posts about blogging

1. Text Posts Tuesdays are really not working for me. I mostly write about myself in them and I feel kind of weird about that. So in August I'm going to replace them with photo posts and write a bit more about the other things I post in their place.

2. I've been wondering if I should try to skew this blog more towards music or weird shit from the internet or something because pretty much everyone giving advice to bloggers says you need a consistent theme to find an audience. I think there is an audience out there for blogs that aren't single-topic- most of the blogs I like best are like that, actually- but it makes sense that that audience would be harder to find.

3. I'm thinking about starting a new separate blogging project where I would share little vignettes based on the moods of songs and photos. So it would be a way to share songs and photos as well as my own writing. If it went well, I might even make it into a radio show on my college's radio station next semester. But I'm still not sure about it. I'm kind of paranoid about putting my writing on the internet for fear of dumb criticism and future publishing issues. Also, I have no idea what I'd name it. At the same time, though, I've been super inspired by writer bloggers who share their work and I'd like to return the favor in my own little way. As a matter of fact, this whole idea owes a huge debt to The Synchronicity of Indeterminacy, an amazing blog which has sadly been inactive for years. I was a regular commenter there while I was running my old blog and both Indie's writing and the writing of the many other fabulous people in that community was so different from anything weird little 12-year-old me had encountered before that it blew my mind. (I also feel like I should apologize to them for how crappy many of my stories there were, but that's irrelevant...)

Here's a little song reward for reading that. So what do all you nonexistent readers have to say about all this?
